About yes we can Network:

The "Yes We Can" Network arises from a stark reality – a reality where, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 15 percent of the world's population grapples with disabilities . Nowhere is this challenge more pronounced than in Iraq, a nation deeply scarred by wars, displacement, and man-made disasters, including the lingering effects of mines and a strained healthcare system. People with disabilities in Iraq, spanning all genders and ages, confront daily obstacles rooted in social and physical barriers—stigma, discrimination, inaccessible transport, and inadequate health care. These challenges lead to poorer health, limited educational opportunities, reduced economic prospects, and heightened poverty rates, resulting in their marginalization and exclusion from active community participation.
